2006-07 CAHSEE Intensive Instruction and Services Annual Report

Districts and directly funded charter schools that received funding for the 2006-07 CAHSEE intensive instruction and services are required to submit an annual report to the CDE. Reporting of data will be processed through the CDE Consolidated Application (ConApp) Part II. The ConApp Part II will be released in early December 2007, and is required to be completed and filed with the CDE by the end of January 2008. For information on the ConApp, please visit the Consolidated Application Web page.

For additional information on reporting only, please contact Carolyn S. Mills, Education Programs Consultant, Educational Options Office, at 916-445-7746 or by e-mail at cmills@cde.ca.gov.

Administration Apportionment Process

The California Department of Education (CDE) will develop an Apportionment Information Report form for each school district and charter school that includes the apportionment amounts due to each district or charter school for the CAHSEE administrations it conducted during the previous school year. Each fall, CDE will send school districts the Apportionment Information Report for the purpose of certifying the accuracy of the apportionments for the previous school year.

To ensure the accuracy of the completed Apportionment Information Report forms provided by CDE, school districts should continue to track the number of students for whom apportionments may be claimed. CDE has developed a sample school site data collection form (DOC; 58KB; 1p.) that schools are encouraged to use to track their apportionments throughout the 2008-09 school year.

For the July CAHSEE administration, school districts can claim apportionments for grades twelve and adult education students who take one or both parts of the CAHSEE. For the October, November and December CAHSEE administrations, school districts can claim apportionments for grade eleven, twelve and adult education students who take one or both parts of the CAHSEE.

For the February, March and May CAHSEE administrations, school districts can claim apportionments for: (1) grade eleven, twelve, and adult education students who take one or both parts of the CAHSEE; (2) grade ten students who participate in the census or make-up administration; and (3) grade ten students who are absent during the census administration but for whom the school district returned an answer document with completed demographic information.

School districts will receive:

  • $3.00 for each student tested on one or both parts of the CAHSEE for the completion of demographic fields and test responses.
  • $0.32 for each answer document submitted for grade ten students not tested during the census administrations (February or March) with only completed demographic information.

For further information about the CAHSEE apportionment process, contact the CAHSEE Office at 916-445-9449.
