Eligibility
Open to all schools with Academic Performance Index (API) scores
Conditions
For 2000-01:
- 2001 API must meet or exceed 5% growth target, or have an API increase of 5 points, whichever is greater.
- All subgroups must meet or exceed 80% of school target or have an API increase of 4 points, whichever is greater.
- Elementary and middle schools must have 95% Stanford 9 participation rate.
- High schools must have 90% Stanford 9 participation rate.
For 1999-00:
- API must show 5% growth target.
- All subgroups must make 80% of school target.
- K-8 schools must have 95% SAT-9 participation rate.
- 9-12 schools must have 90% SAT-9 participation rate.
- Schools at 800+ must make at least one point gain.
Distribution Setup
For 2000-01: Funded at up to $150 per student tested, grades 2-11
For 1999-00: Funded at up to $150 per student to all schools meeting proposed conditions
Distribution Decision
Use of funds at school decided by existing site governance team/school-wide council representing major stakeholders; ratified by local board
