Programs of Excellence (Outside Source)
This project provides a rigorous review of local education agencies' instructional programs and identifies those characterized by outstanding services to adult learners, services that are innovative, exemplary, and that can be replicated by other local adult education agencies.
Promising Practices (Outside Source)
This project identifies new, innovative, or proven strategies in adult education. A Promising Practice must improve program accountability, focus on development of skills needed in the workplace, promote collaboration and cooperation with other local agencies, promote the effective use of technology, or have potential application in other agencies.
English Literacy and Civics Education: Making a Difference in the Community Awards (Outside Source)
This project identifies local agencies that helped and encouraged their students to actively use their newly acquired English language and literacy skills to interact with their communities in ways that make a difference to themselves, their families, and their communities.
