Additional funding sources are provided by many foundations, local and state organizations, the four arts professional groups, and national partners. A few of those funding sources are noted below.

National Art Education Association (NAEA) (Outside Source)
A non-profit visual arts education organization promoting art education through professional development, service, knowledge and leadership; funding opportunity in all art disciplines.

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) (Outside Source)
Funding opportunities and advocacy materials are available.

Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation (Outside Source)
Supports K-12 school music programs in need of assistance.

Surdna Foundation (Outside Source)
Focuses on arts and education for teachers.

Arts Education Partnership (AEP) (Outside Source)
Supports research and best practices in arts education, publishes research, links state consultants and arts agencies/providers, and provides trimester collaboration among state arts consultants and arts partners.

California Arts Council (CAC) (Outside Source)
Supports local artists throughout the state, promotes “the arts” point of view as part of our society, has funding opportunities and conducts research on various aspects of the arts in society and education.

California Alliance for Arts Education (CAAE) (Outside Source)
Support and advocacy for arts education in California; the CAAE Web site annotates funding opportunities, connections with arts partners, legislation for the arts, current issues in arts education, and contacts for the four arts discipline professional groups.

The associations, including California Educational Theatre Association (CDETA - threatre) (Outside Source), California Arts Education Association (CAEA - visual arts) (Outside Source), California Association for Music Education (CMEA - music) (Outside Source), and California Dance Educators Association (CDEA - dance) are additional funding sources.

U.S. Department of Education (Outside Source)
Funding opportunities are available through grants and appropriations administered by the U.S. Department of Education. Arts grant and appropriation applications are available throughout the academic year. Summer program funding is often available through this site.
