California School Technology Survey
This important data collection helps measure the progress of technology
integration in California classrooms, is a requirement for several
education technology-funded programs, and is used by the California
Department of Education to determine grant eligibility and awards.

assistance to schools and districts in integrating technology
into teaching and learning.
Education Technology Plan
A county office of education, school district, or direct-funded charter school must have an approved education technology plan in order to receive education technology funds administered by the California Department of Education (CDE). (Education Code Section 51871.5.)
Education Technology Planning: A Guide for California School Districts
A informative technology planning guide to assist school districts, direct-funded charter schools, and county offices of education in the writing or updating of their technology plan. This guide aligns with the Title II, Part D requirements of No Child Left Behind and the new technology plan requirements related to internet safety and the appropriate and ethical use of information technology in the classroom as required in Education Code Section 51871.5 (AB 307). This guide was jointly developed by the CDE and CTAP’s Program Management Committee. For assistance with your technology plan, contact your local CTAP technology plan coordinator.
