Dear County Offices of Education Chief Business Officials:
2007-08 Fourth Quarter Lottery Apportionment
The State Controller’s Office (SCO) will distribute the 2007-08 fourth quarter lottery apportionment on September 30, 2008. The total to be apportioned to county offices of education, school districts, and charter schools is $93,133,191.33 or $14.05 ($14.048684868) per unit of average daily attendance (ADA) for the unrestricted lottery apportionment and $98,654,580.22 or $14.88 ($14.881559174) for the Proposition 20 apportionment.
In an effort to streamline the lottery apportionment process, we are eliminating from our mailings the Remittance Advice and copy of the “Lottery Educational Apportionment System Master Register” (Master Register). To view a copy of the Master Register that lists the ADA, apportionment, adjustments, and net amount actually paid (Remittance Advice) to each county office, school district, charter school, and community college district on a quarterly and year-to-date basis, please visit the SCO’s Web site at http://www.sco.ca.gov/ard/payments/lottery/ (Outside Source).
The Department requests that county superintendents of schools inform local educational agencies immediately of this apportionment. If you have any questions regarding your lottery apportionment, please contact Stel Cordano, Fiscal Consultant, Office of Principal Apportionment and Special Education at 916-324-4541 or scordano@cde.ca.gov.
Sincerely,
Scott Hannan, Director
School Fiscal Services Division
