Members of the public who plan to attend a hearing are strongly encouraged to download, print, and review a copy of the standards prior to the hearing.
The draft standards will be available on July 14, 2006 on the California Healthy Kids Resource Center Web site. Members of the public planning to address the panel are encouraged to bring printed copies of their remarks.

The Health Education Standards Advisory Panel will consider all written and verbal comments made during the public review process at their meeting on August 17-18 in Sacramento. Following that meeting, the draft standards will be presented to the Superintendent of Public Instruction for approval and to the State Board of Education for adoption. For more information about the development and approval process, see the Heatlh Education Web site.
The presiding officer reserves the right to impose time limits on comments as may be necessary.
