Education Code Section 51210.8 requires that the State Board of Education (SBE) develop health content standards by March 2008.
Update on Health Education Standards
The Health Education Content Standards for California Public Schools (DOC; 2MB; 99pp.) were approved by the California SBE on March 12, 2008. It is anticipated that the standards will be published by CDE Press and available fall 2008. The standards are currently available through the State Board of Education’s agenda Web page (above link).

California Health Education Standards Advisory Panel
